Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
Sweet Evil Review – Book 1 of the Sweet Evil series.
I found this series way back when I read The Lux series. Thanks to JLA for the mention in one of the books. It made me curious enough to look up the series and found that I loved it.
Love Kaidan ❤
Anna is well written. Her development comes out really well. She has to learn a lot of things, and she’s able to cope rather well.
Is it a little too much how obsessed she becomes with Kaidan? Uh yeah! I get teen infatuation and whatnot, but sometimes she was a LOT over the top. Maybe it’s me that has issues with this now that I’ve matured? But I do like her inner monologue where she’s scolding herself and trying to reel herself in.
I got a lot of emotional responses still, so that’s why I’m still in love with it. Had I not had any reactions, I would probably have given it a 3 instead of 5. BUT it’s still a good story. It’s very well written and has a focus compared to the last series which was just all over the place, so I appreciate the story more for that.
